Gisteravond, tijdens een exclusief VOGUE-diner, heeft hoofdredacteur Karin Swerink de lanceringsdatum van het langverwachte eerste nummer bekendgemaakt. Een making of-filmpje onthulde de allereerste beelden.

Tijdens het diner werd bekendgemaakt dat VOGUE NEDERLAND officieel wordt gelanceerd op 22 maart 2012, in Nederland en Vlaanderen. Bij het diner waren kopstukken van creatief Nederland aanwezig, onder wie modeontwerpers Jan Taminiau en Fong Leng, fotografen Erwin Olaf en Rineke Dijkstra, kunstenaressen Gerti Bierenbroodspot en Petra Heyboer. Ook uitgever Joost Nijssen, Marloes Krijnen, directeur fotografiemuseum FOAM en conservator van het Fotomuseum Den Haag, Wim van Sinderen, waren aanwezig.
Op 21 maart vindt in geselecteerde Bijenkorf filialen een exclusieve voorverkoop plaats van the collector’s edition: een speciale druk van het eerste nummer, in beperkte oplage.

Bastiaan van Schaik werd gisteren, tijdens een feestje om het 50e nummer te vieren, officieel geïntroduceerd als nieuwe hoofdredacteur van het blad. Natuurlijk gaat een Jackie party gepaard met behoorlijk wat BN’ers als model Kim Feenstra, styliste Chantal Bles en presentatrice Nikkie Plessen.

The Honor Fall/Winter 2012 collection was spectacular. It was full of print, lace, bold and solid colors, and colorful. I find it to be very wearable and business casual. Every woman would love to wear Honor’s collection and can dress from day to night.

Nicholas K showed up and showed out for his Fall/Winter 2012 collection at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week. With a old western inspired collection, and with an edge to go with it. The looks were amazing, edgy, wearable, and detailed in all the right places. From the draping, and fringed looks, it had both men and women in awe as the models walked the runway. A cohesive collection we all loved, what a way to kick off and start the first day of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week.

Voor de Fall 2012 collectie prêt-à-porter van Custo Barcelona bij Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in New York, ontwerper Custo Dalmau gericht op de stof verhaal, het mengen van gewone stoffen met tech stof en het spelen met kleuren.

“Het is een mix van kleuren, afbeeldingen en materialen,” zei hij backstage van de “experimentele en hedendaagse” collectie.

“Dit is een zeer experimenteel collectie. We gemengde veel stoffen aan elkaar met de nieuwste vezeltechnologie. Je gaat een palet van beige, koper, oranje, grijs en zacht groen met een vleugje rood en fuchsia te zien.”

De collectie is ook opgebouwd uit details zoals metalen, franje, plukjes handgeweven wol, leer schijnbaar verpakt in een cocon, bont, print en kant, alles in een soort zwerver look, als de modellen stapte met rommelige visstaart gevlochten haar.

Veel van de rokjes waren kort en gecombineerd met patchwork gebreide stoffen en warme bontjassen met franje.
